Maarky Thermal Systems Presents Paper at Electric Power Conference
Maarky Thermal Systems will be presenting a paper at the up coming Electric Power Conference in Baltimore Maryland.
The Electric Power Conference has accepted Maarky’s paper entitled: On Selection of Expansion Joint for a Condenser Turbine Application
The abstract for the paper is:
The expansion joint decouples the steam surface condenser from the steam turbine. One of the principle functions of the expansion joint is to absorb the differential thermal expansion between the steam turbine and the condenser while imparting minimal forces and moments on the turbine exhaust flange. Steam turbines come in a variety of exhaust configurations such as down exhaust, axial exhaust and top exhaust. Each configuration has unique design and performance requirements for the expansion joint. The expansion joint must exhibit satisfactory performance under a wide range of operating conditions to ensure reliable operation of the turbine condenser system.
The Electric Power Conference will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center on May 15 to 17 2012. More information on this conference can be found at:
